When you have no clue what you even want to do, all the "cold-turkey, if I do this, what will he do" crap is pointless game-play.
I can tell you that this fluttery, happy thing you're having IS another form of infatuation, and in no way signifies real love (not when it's brand new). It is fun and exciting now, but that doesn't have to mean he's your future partner because you currently find him intriguing. Calm down and think it through- if you can't get over the oddities now, you aren't really starting off on the proper foot for a relationship.
And if you decide that you just want the fun, that's another thing completely- and you have to have that talk with him.
