Um, apparently 12, which is more than even I suspected. I have only used one alt more than a dozen times though, and two others exactly that many. My personal fave remains ™J, but saying I use it sparingly would be an understatement since it has yet to be used even once. Winning fights with mods is nigh impossible, so it is best not to provoke them.
2. Do you use alts at other sites? What are some sites where you have used them?
There is only one other site I use much, and registering multiple SNs is a bannable infraction of their Code of Conduct, so no.
3. Explain a scenario where you used an alt in Real Life.
I have used and continue to use both Homer Simpsoy and Herb Powell (Homers half-brother) to avoid personal data input on online forms being exploited by resale to marketing groups. I also switched my FB account to the latter name from my real one in the wake of all the stories about people being arrested and/or fired for things they posted there. Not sure that counts as real life though; I had nicknames in HS, but none since.
