Unemployment is either the fault of people too lazy to work, or Obamas fault.

If people are too lazy to work unemployment is not Obamas fault and thus no reason to vote against him (it is hard to find many people voting FOR Romney rather than just against Obama.) If they are NOT too lazy to work they genuinely need help Romney refuses and Obama supports (e.g. the jobs bill the GOP House refuses to pass, extending unemployment etc.) Either way, there is every reason to vote for Obama, and none to vote for Romney.
One can NOT say Obama must go because he caused high unemployment AND that only lazy people are out of work, and thus need no help. It is one or the other.
