Just from my point of view.... Jeordam Send a noteboard - 18/09/2012 05:05:45 PM
.....the exact work of your choice. 46 million people are on food stamps, almost 50% of households pay no federal income taxes, etc. Everyone needs some skin in the game.

How many people do you think have skin in the game when you count federal taxes of all forms as well as state and local taxes?

What does it matter? Everyone has to pay sales tax (if their state/local has it). Everyone has to pay inheritance taxes. But that's hardly the point is it? Not everyone has to pay income tax.

Per the verbiage being used...not everyone has skin in the game. Not everyone in this nation has some of their income taken from them to pay for government. Can you imagine the frustration when you go to school for years, have student loans that are sucking you into a financial abyss, and work like a dog....while people are receiving unemployment for months or years at a time?

Getting rich people to pay more taxes isn't gonna make the diference. Everyone needs to pay something (besides state/local), and we need to spend less.
