I mean, I am inclined to agree (I did like TNG, just not as much as ToS; the wife got me the last season form my birthday and will soon have seen them all. ) Just... Picard vs. Kirk is one of those classic epic debates that leaves many bleeding dismembered geeks in its wake. On the other hand, at least no version of Star Trek went the Clarkian "science=magic" route of Star Wars.
