My shower is in sort of rough shape, and my landlord has hinted that he'd like to renovate it eventually. It leaks, I had to redo the sealant around the edges last summer, a lot of the tiles are faded, sometimes little worms find their way into it in the springtime from beneath somehow, and there are dark stains in some of the corners that will never come out. When I installed a new showerhead a couple years ago the pipe coming down from the ceiling crumbled around the edges and it took everything I had to get the new one on there so that it didn't spray water out the sides. I lost a wrench to the process — I had to tighten the showerhead so far to stop leaks that the wrench got stuck, and will not come off however hard I pull it or hit it. So I have a wrench in my shower. But I'm not sure what I'd do if I had to find a shower elsewhere during renovations. It would be very inconvenient.
But perhaps not as inconvenient as that sink of yours. You can't even properly stand in front of that thing.
