Bathrooms are horribly hard to clean and the grouting for tiles makes it loads worse.
Other than that I got nothing.

I think we are having tiles pretty much everywhere in the bathroom
where we live has a particular style that people can feel rather strongly about - sticking as closely as we can to that style while renovating is pretty important to make sure it adds value to the property rather than detracting from it. Being a grownup (well, pretending to be) is lame sometimes.

Ah. I am glad I live in a newish place now.

We have tiles all over the walls and floor at the moment and they're fine apart from the stupid moat around the bath that fills with water, the counter and the floor - the moat will cease to exist and the counter and floor won't be tiled. Fingers crossed it'll be fine!
Sounds like a plan.
Kitchen lighting: how are you having that done? I get really frustrated by the fact that our place just has a central light fixture so it's hard to see clearly in winter, and winter is LONG in this part of the world.
