Since when was Romney (or any Republican since TRs day) for more regulation or hiring more teachers? - Edit 1

Either you have never understood Romney's position on these issues or you don't understand them now. I suspect both.

Show me some links were Romney's position on these issues has substantially changed. When was Romney against education or against all regulation? Sorry but over the top hyperbole does not really qualify as a rational argument.

I think Tom Tancredo had the best comment on Romneys debate performance:
“That’s where his comfort zone is. It seems apparent that he was, he wanted to talk about it because he feels comfortable with it,” Tancredo said. “I expected it, not surprised by it. I was for Santorum during the primaries for that reason. But now, who cares?”

Beating Obama, Tancredo said, is now more important than worrying about Romney’s positions
.

Good point; who cares what President Romney actually does, as long as Obama loses? He could promise to hunt your kids for sport and still get your vote.

The sad thing is, if I actually thought for a second Romney believed half what he said on that Denver stage I could support him. The REALLY sad thing is millions of people who paid no attention while he promised the exact opposite for five years will. Romney cannot simultaneously repudiate the welfare state (as in his 47% video) AND embrace it (as he did Wednesday.) "Black is white and I love 'em both! " Whatever....

Here is a scary thought for you: What if he DOES mean it? What if, like Dems 30 years ago, todays GOP is sick of partisan extremists alienating voters and handing victory to inept opponents who expose their radicalism? If so, the GOP is headed for its own version of the Democratic Leadership Council, seeking election victory by sacrificing its fruits and their ideological integrity? Imagine a Republican Party doing to you what Democrats did to unions by endorsing the NAFTA and WTO.
Just win, baby.
