I'll give a few of mine too, just for variety: - Edit 1

Like Kel above, I'm married so these were my rules prior to marriage. The only deal-breaker now is if the person is not my wife. All of my rules are based on the assumption that a more serious relationship is something that can come from dating. If I was dating with zero intent of determining if something more serious could eventually develop, my deal breakers would be different.

1. Must be a co-religionist with me and serious about trying to live our religous standards, including no sex before marriage.

2. Must be female.

3. Can't be obese. Sounds shallow, but... well I can't really say it isn't shallow. I just find obesity totally repulsive. I'm not asking for physical perfection. Chubby isn't a deal breaker, just obese. I'll try to stay reasonably fit, I want the same from her. I'm not the image of physical perfection so I wouldn't begrudge girls that don't want to date me based entirely on some aspect (or many aspects) of my appearance. Why do I feel like I need to justify the fact that I won't date fat girls?

4. Must be within three years of my age. Sounds a little narrow, but these are from my earlyish 20s.

5. Must tolerate me watching sports and playing video games from time to time.

6. Must be interesting to talk to.
