Are you seriously contending Bush was good for the economy?! Joel Send a noteboard - 15/10/2012 11:27:37 PM
Look what happened to the economy and tax revenue after the last 3 major tax cuts:

JFK's = economy grew, tax revenue increased
Reagan's = economy grew, tax revenue increased
GWB's = economy grew, tax revenue increased

See a trend?

The historical record shows US federal debt was just under $1 trillion when Reaganomics began and $12 trillion when it (hopefully) ended. That is despite the '90s reprieve when Clinton, Gingrich and Dole cooperated to cut spending AND raise taxes to eliminate the deficit and begin reducing the debt.

Between 1981 and 1992 (Reagan and Bush 41) US federal debt tripled. Between 2001 and 2009 (GWB) it doubled. Trickle down theory failed when Hoover invented it to end the Depression in 1930 and has not improved with age. The last time we tried it did more damage to the US and global economy than anything in history—except, of course, the FIRST time we tried it. THAT is historys verdict. Not that any of that has much to do with global warming.
