Ah, the "I have Gay Friends" argument. Dannymac Send a noteboard - 22/10/2012 09:33:41 PM
You're right, I don't know you. You and your gay friends may live in a beautiful world of friendship and tolerance. I have no way of knowing that. All I can judge you by is what you say... and you attempted to equate gay marriage to marrying spoons. This makes you less than likely to be someone simply upholding a legislative standard.

All three branches of American government have a role in legislation. Judiciary's lies primarily in reviewing certain laws and holding them to standards in order to protect against the tyranny of the majority. DOMA being struck down was exactly that. So if you simply crudely misspoke and so gave me the mistaken impression that you are a bigot, I apologize. In this case, you are simply ignorant of the role of the judiciary in legislation.

Not the best analogy, though I agree with the sentiment. - 19/10/2012 04:10:11 PM 589 Views
Then by the "legal argument" you all propose I should have the "right" to marry a spoon... - 19/10/2012 05:48:32 PM 620 Views
if your spoon or dog is capable of making power of attorney decisions then by all means do so *NM* - 19/10/2012 06:41:43 PM 285 Views
How about I "marry" a corporation then. THAT is how stupid the entire arguement is. *NM* - 19/10/2012 07:25:13 PM 276 Views
Another good example of how corporations aren't the same as people. *NM* - 19/10/2012 10:07:32 PM 288 Views
