It's not like voting machines are quantum computers. They work the way they are programmed to work. And "If A button is pushed, submit X; else if B button is pushed, submit Y" is hardly a complicated sort of conditional. Furthermore, if it works for one machine, there's no excuse for it not working the exact same way on all of them.
