I don't think we've had many murders where legally concealed weapons were pivotal to the crime, we have had quite a few crimes foiled by them. Though that's pretty secondary to me, same as freedom of religion isn't something I question every time we have a crazy cult or some nutjob decides God told him to kill people, the right to worship and to reasonable self-defense measures just seems to morally necessary to justify interference.
