Antennas to Hell - my review wooly Send a noteboard - 09/02/2013 09:14:28 AM
This is a compilation of music from Slipknot. I have to admit that I fell way behind the times in music. I heard a few songs from Slipknot over the years, and I generally liked what I heard. However I always thought of them as a gimmic band, with the masks and all.

I purchased Antennas to Hell in September of last year and it has very rarely left the CD player in my car since then. Wow, was I impressed. These guys, despite the gimmics, are completely legit. A compilation isn't a very good way to judge a musical achievement, but this is very good collection of songs.

So where do I begin? The songs that made me want to purchase this recording were Duality, Before I Forget, and Snuff. Fucking terrific songs! What I discovered after my purchase were a whole collection of great songs. I can listen to the whole damn recording without skipping anything. Personal favorites are People=Shit, Vermillion, and The Heretic.

So my recommendation in this case is for the old timers like me: give these guys a chance. They're fucking great!
