So, there's this girl at my Uni. - Edit 2

Before modification by Postsecret at 10/03/2013 10:36:55 PM

Let me just start by saying that I do infact realise how desperate/young/etc I'm going to sound for posting this (sorry for postsecret, I'm selfconcious, okay? :P ), so now that that's out of the way let's get to the point. So, there's this girl on parallel course that I'm sort of interested in. The thing is, I've never been interested in anyone beoynd the level of "Huh, she looks good" and am rather lost on what to do about this. I don't really know her but we've spoken from time to time. I'd like to get to know her better, but on the social interractions scale of smooth to akward, I fall firmly in latter category, and would prefer to atleast stay at the acquaintance/occasional pal situation even if nothing comes out of it. Also, due to afore mentioned lack of earlier occasions of similiar nature, I don't know how to proceed. I don't have a crush on her, I'm just... interested. How interested is one supposed to be for any chance of anything coming out of it? How should I approach getting to know her better? This is rather confusing for me since I've just recently realised that I'm interested in her in the first place (I didn't apply for student union orientation for the next year because of work, but I learned I would have been chosen had I applied. [I tried to apply late, but that wasn't possible]. I'm dissapointed a)because it could have been fun and b)because she's in the orientation program.) And this realisation that atleast as much if not more as I'm bummed because it could have been fun I'm bummed because it would have been a great way to get to know her better.
