considering that nobody in Congress is losing pay or their job, it's a good precedent IMHO moondog Send a noteboard - 03/04/2013 10:43:45 PM

this is the biggest joke of the sequester: everyone but Congress loses on the government budget cuts. as of now it's a largely symbolic gesture, and i'm sure very shortly we'll hear a republican rep or senator decry this as symbolism. but i highly doubt they will put their own money up even after they complain about the arbitrariness of the cuts on programs they like. it's much easier for them all to sit on the sidelines and cry than to prevent people losing their jobs.

Well, it's more of a CYA-against-bad-press symbolic gesture than an impressive one. - 03/04/2013 10:15:40 PM 734 Views
