I loathe them.
If I don't know somebody well enough to select an appropriate and personal gift, I have no business attending (let alone being invited to, but I don't get any say in that) their wedding.
Having said that, I think the gift you linked is unlikely to be a "duplicate" 
And it's lovely. Ideally you would arrange it so the gift can be easily returned if that's the preference, but I wouldn't let that be a sticking point. You know her, and if you think she'd dig it, that's enough

If she is that close, do both.....one smaller/modest gift from the list and one wild card gift.
