she did apologize random thoughts Send a noteboard - 02/07/2013 01:08:06 AM

I think you may be misreading people's reaction. It isn't that she isn't prejudice to some degree it is that she is being persecuted in way others are for similarly or more often worse behavior are not because of who they are. Look at Alec Baldwin, he tweeted offensive homophobic statements directed at a journalist and none of his sponsors are dumping him.

It isn't if people think of themselves as racist but they are sick and tired of the thought police on the left picking and choosing who gets tarred and feathered. We have college professors on CNN arguing that cracker is not a racially offensive despite all reason and logic and people just nod their head and somehow seem to think that claiming the SCOTUS ruling on VRA not only heralds the return of Jim Crow but is an example of why is OK for blacks to refer to whites as crackers.

Either racism is wrong or it isn't. Certain people do not have the right to be racist just because of what happened to their great grandparents. They also do not have anymore right to be racist just because police harassed them then a white kid has to racist because he was picked by blacks in school. The values and ethics that support that of thinking are not only misguided but often turn on the people who promote them. Once you establish that it is justified for you to have racist views (even if you refuse to admit them) you have a short sighted fool think that same logic will be used by the other side. That is a dangerous game if you only make up 15% of the population.

People are tired of seeing people like Paula Dean crucified because she is a southern whites and as such should be considered a racist until proven other (mainly be becoming a democrat) while men like Al Sharpton get paid millions to sell hate and fear and gangs of black teenagers attacking random white families is dismissed.

The point where a majority of whites get fed with the BS and get tired of paying for the sins of others is getting dangerously close and if pushed to far could undo a lot of amazing progress on race relations in this country. I am not sure of many of the people so eager to play the race card now will react well if the same scrutiny and prejudgment is focused on them. If there are widespread riots when Zimmerman is found not guilty that could ell be the tipping point. Zimmerman man be an idiot but that does not mean who should used as sacrifice to the gods of white guilt and black anger.

Refusing to print or say "nigger" in reference to the incident is absurd. - 02/07/2013 01:48:11 AM 484 Views
