I stand by what I said whoohtown Send a noteboard - 01/10/2009 03:59:13 PM

Dallas' D is averaging 20 points allowed per game. Denver is averaging 5 pts allowed per game. Dallas let the sad 0-3 Bucs score three TD's. Denver has allowed only 1 TD so far this season. One player on Denver's defense has twice as many sacks as Dallas' whole team. Denver is #1 in the league in fewest yards per game allowed by an opponent.

Denver played Oakland and Cleveland. Not particularly strong offenses...

Dallas' run defense has been pretty good, including against the Giants who were the number run running offense last year.

I'm also not getting bogged down by the stats in this case. I know last year doesn't mean anything, but based on how both these units played, I think the Denver D has overachieved and the Dallas D has underachieved. They're capable of more than they've done.

Denver does have a chance to pull off the win here, though. That much I acknowledge.
I excel at three things: Drinkin' beer, eatin' large quantities of mexican food in one sitting, and sporclin'.
