View original postI wish some of the others here would learn to enjoy it. I'm just north of Trumbull in Ashtabula County and half the conversations inflicted on me are bitch-fits about the weather. Admittedly that's a round-the-year past-time in Ohio. I blame TV and video games, it gives people something else to do besides snowball fights and snowman construction.
I remember when I was young, asking my Father "Why do people want it to be hot in the winter, and then cold in the summer?" and him responding "Because they're idiots, son".
It's funny, because I still play video games, but I think you're right about them (and TV in general) keeping kids inside these days. It was different back then though. TV was 3 or 4 channels and video games were few, and rarely played for longer than 30 min at a time.
I make a point on spending quality time with my girls outside year round. I think they like building snowmen more than I ever did! Though as cold as it's been this year we've only gotten 2 snowmen and 1 snowcat built.
