As you noted I mentioned that the current system does not work work well for lower in jobs. I don't oppose unions in theory just the way they run in the US. where I do think they mmake the most sense is in low end jobs. I do not support then for government jobs because the unions are so active politically that they often play a major role in electing the people they negotiate with.
