A lot of what the Press calls grid lock is simply things the president wants that congress won't give him. He may have been elected but so were they and as president he is biggest failure in modern history when it comes to working with the opposition. Even Bush at lowest point in popularity was able to build coalitions for most issues. Obama has never learned that he was elected king and that the primaries are over and he needs to talk to someone besides his base.

It just makes it an awful system.
