Avoid the I-5 like the plague, take two days to drive down Pacific Highway 1 instead. Do some coastal walks in Big Sur, maybe stay a night in Santa Barbara.
Avoid the I-5 like the plague, take two days to drive down Pacific Highway 1 instead. Do some coastal walks in Big Sur, maybe stay a night in Santa Barbara.
SB is somewhat close to LA, though. So we thought we'd simply split it on the upper third, by staying in Monterey. A friend of mine apparently drove H1 from SF to San Diego in a day. Crazy, but can be done.
