Trump probably *can* win the nomination moondog Send a noteboard - 13/08/2015 10:24:49 PM

i think it's pretty telling that, no matter what he says, people are rewarding him for his honesty. and the fact the party can't buy out his donors like they would for any regular candidate to dry up his campaign is only adding to the mystique.

i think the saddest part of all of this is how also-rans like Huckabee are forcing themselves to be even MORE outrageous than Trump just to get noticed. i dunno WTF was up with the Holocaust comments, other than it's the only way to get noticed in the midst of 17 other people.

but whoever gets the republican nomination, i highly doubt they would stand a chance against anyone the Dems put up there. obviously Hillary is polling 20+ points over pretty much everyone on the conservative side, but even Sanders is projected to win against any of them too, although by closer margins. maybe this is the election where the republican party finally understands they have to actually have ideas that appeal to people, and not just be a bunch of white male assholes who want to return the country to the 1950s.
