As I was considering this site's imminent departure for the Land of Lost Internet Content, I was shocked to realize that it was 15 years ago that I first came to Wotmania. It is hard to believe both that it has been so long and that it wasn't longer ago.

I know this site isn't Wotmania, but it is as close as we have. For a very long time, Wotmania was the place to be for me! I came and posted every day, chatted, and had a good time with my friends and an even better time fighting my enemies. I met so many good friends there and am happy to have many of them still in my life via Facebook and other media. Wotmania came into my when I really needed something and didn't even realize it. I came looking for info on when the new book was coming out (after seeing and fleeing Dragonmount!) but I found so much more. I found friends and fun. Found people to challenge my ideas and beliefs. People to laugh and cry with. On Wotmania, I even found my husband, who is my best friend and love of my life. So, you could definitely say Wotmania changed my life irrevocably. My life is so much better for it. Thank you Robert Jordan and thank you Mike Mackert.

I know I, among many, don't come here as often as I should or at least wish I could. It is time for this site, this dear child of Wotmania, to go. But, I will always have the fondest of memories of both sites and the people who populated them and made them what they are. To everyone reading this, thank you for being a part of my life. I treasure (almost) all of you.

"Nothing makes the earth seem so spacious as to have friends at a distance; they make the latitudes and longitudes." ~Henry David Thoreau
