More seriously, the point others have made that forums in general are superior to FB in the respect they allow comments longer in both content and duration is quite valid. Trying to have the same kind of discussions on FB that I loved about wotmania and love about RAFO is frustrating as HELL. How frustrating is that?

Yah, I skimmed.

I remember being called a "pink cardigan wearing suburbanite" for asking people to play nice. It still makes me laugh, because I think snark is fun. I love a saucy argument, but it's also why I never brought real friends home. It's not easy to explain why I'm fond of dickish people, or why they should stick with it until they understand.

Yeah, I like it fine, but it should not be ALL there is anymore than RAFO memberships should come with a free copy of Roberts Rules of Order. Unfiltered give and take is one thing, and great, but when 90% of posts are just variations on a handful of people calling each other douche-nozzles "ain't nobody got time for that."

We need newbs like a junkie needs smack; I am just spitballing ways to achieve that.
