Lovely day today. 6 inches already on the ground at 10 AM. snow currently falling at 2-3 inches per hour, with wind gusts up to 45 mph. Nor'easters suck.
As to our beloved governor declaring all non-essential road travel banned for the day, I have mixed feelings. I understand the logic. It makes it much easier for first responders and plow trucks. The downside? We lose a splendid opportunity for a Darwinian thinning of the herd. It's not unlike banning swimming during hurricanes. Culling those who would do such a thing before they have the chance to breed would be a net gain for society.
EDIT: Gov. Malloy's office just announced the ban is now lifted. So there's still time for a few drunks to go out and pull doughnuts on the highways.
I had donuts for breakfast. And DD coffee. Because thats how we roll up here in Boston.
Boston lucked out from this storm. Maybe about 8 to 9 inches or so. But now its turned to rain. So it will flash freeze tonight. Ugh.
