I've seen ads for it all over the country, but. . . it mutates constantly, right?, how can you get a shot for it?

Each year is a different strain though. The flu trends worldwide are analyzed leading up to flu season here, and based on that analysis the makers of the vaccines create that year's flu vaccine for whichever strain is expected to be the primary flu virus.
