Louisiana Creoles are typically a blend of French settlers, black slaves, and the occasional Native American. They've historically pretty much kept to themselves and been hated by the world. Which, historically, they've been fine with, since they've hated the world right back.

Cajuns are the descendants of Acadians expelled from Canada. They are exceedingly numerous if you count people who are partially Cajun (I'm one), but not so much if you're only counting "pure" Cajuns.
