They ran out of components for one of the lines that was running. That's not really that big of a deal. They called their warehouse across the street to see about getting restocked.

The needed components were already loaded onto a truck.

They asked them to bring them over so production could resume and were told no, the truck couldn't move until it was completely full.

That was kind of odd, but whatever. After an hour or so they checked again to see what the holdup was. Apparently, some other components that were supposed to be loaded on the truck had not been approved yet.

They were for a later run and could not be approved until the current run was finished. The current run being the one that was on hold waiting for more components.

I thought it was pretty silly, but no one was willing to deviate from the procedures, and the line didn't run again at all that night.

I guess that someone higher up took care of it the next day.
