Would you rather

have a serious, chronic mental illness, such as bipolar disorder,

or

have a serious, chronic physical illness, such as non-terminal cancer, cystic fibrosis, etc.?


I think that I would pick the latter, partially because I have that, and I think that having a chronic mental illness would be harder to deal with. I have a friend with bipolar disorder and I know that she struggles with it a lot, always trying to figure out the right prescription.
