Ugh. Bosses are crap. Understanding why he's stressed is not at all the same thing as wanting to be the recipient of irrational, angry emails that are apparently stress relievers?
You need to set an email account for when you are on holiday and tell him to send them there. Then just delete them all without reading them when you get home
