The older I get, the more of a "fuck it" attitude I get, also. Why bother to take them off? It's just one more thing you're going to have to put back on after you get probed. Just get it over and get OUT. If I can make that process a milisecond faster by keeeping socks on, they stay on.

And to be perfectly honest, once you've experienced the complete bodily disgrace of bearing a child (all sorts of strangers are looking at and poking things into your hoo-ha and you don't care) then you don't worry about small things anymore. EVER.
