1. Do you have misgivings about getting into steel cans with wings and hurtling miles above the earth?

Nope, I seriously don't.

1a. WHY NOT?

I'm not particularly afraid of dying, that or the rational side of me knows that the likelihood of actually being on a plane that crashes is very very small.

2. If you do, how do you distract yourself during the particularly horrible time called "takeoff?"

I'm usually asleep by then...but if I'm not I'll be reading a book or trying to crash the plane by listening to my ipod.

2a. Is takeoff not your least favorite time?

2b. What is?

My least favorite time is when the guy next to you takes up too much space or has a tiny bladder, thus making sure I have to get up repeatedly to allow them to go to the restroom.

3. Provide hugs and reassurance that this voyage, like every single one I've taken before, will not end in horrible disaster.

It's not going to end in a horrible disaster. And if it does....well you'll be dead really fast, so outside of the couple minutes of terror as you plunge towards your fiery death it shouldn't be too bad of a way to go.

4. Seriously how do you not want to cry when you go into a plane IT IS TERRIFYING

It just doesn't bother me in the least. I get on the plane and I nap or read. The worst part for me is the seats are somewhat uncomfortable sometimes, and I don't like sitting still for that long.
