Screw the ginkgo, learn a language instead. Tom Send a noteboard - 03/01/2010 11:24:17 PM
Ginkgo biloba has, after lots and lots of tests, been proven to do precisely nothing - NOTHING - to help brain function, delay the onset of Alzheimer's, or really anything else that would improve your health in any way. I suspect one could add acai berry, shark cartilage, and virtually every other stupid "natural" additive to the list of things that do nothing.

However, the same article recommends crosswords, other puzzles and learning languages to help increase and maintain good cognitive function, delay the onset of dementia and the like. So go learn a language and, if you were buying ginkgo, quit wasting your money.

Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.

– Procopius
