The Redskins being competitive again would be good for football but I am not sure Shanahan can win it all. He's also notoriously lax on the defensive aspects of the game (which is why he lost his last job). It seems kind of weird to hire a coach who doesn't care about defense on a team that has a history of being a gritty, dirty, defensive-minded team.


Snyder has been on a quest for more offense since he took over the team. It doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Hopefully he'll hire a good defensive coordinator and keep his nose out of that side of the ball. We certainly have more skill players on that side than the other.
