I've made my opinions known to the powers that be, so I don't want to belabour or debate the issue.
Basically, this message board format is archaic (and the is being kind). The prevailing format that most potential new members would be familiar with is quite different (EZBoard) and I think that difference is a big barrier for potential new members.
But people around here like this format and wouldn't have it any other way, so I don't expect there to be a change.
