I purchased a blu-ray player about 6 months ago and I was mildly impressed between DVD movies and true HD blu-ray movies. When I went home, I noticed my father had a small computer attached to his TV and he got all of his movies directly from netflix to his TV over the internet. It occured to me that this completely made my blu-ray player obsolete. It was far more convenient and doesn't require any kind of disks. Do you think blu-ray and disk-type videos have any future?

I've had a computer hooked up to my television for a couple years now, and it's truly fantastic. I use hulu as my main source of television. Free tv is a wonderful thing. What they said about internet speeds is right on, as well. I think eventually the US will decide to at least get into the middle of the pack as far as speed goes, but right now it's just pathetic.

Doubtful. Ownership is an important factor in this equation. - 10/01/2010 03:47:23 PM 297 Views
