I've had this argument mostly with friends about watching baseball on TV, but it works really for all sports....

If, as you say, you are just waiting to see what happens, then I can see where sports can be found to be boring. But, there is more here than you are giving credit for...

There is an intriguing strategic match up happening in sports, mostly in my opinion, in baseball and football... Although I am sure fans of other sports could make an argument for them...

With baseball maybe its because in High school I was a pitcher, so I am constantly watching each at bat to see how wins that game of out thinking the other. With football its so much strategy involved. To me saying these sports are boring when two good teams play, is like someone who doesn't know how to play chess saying that its boring... Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean its not interesting...
