Setting aside the various interpersonal skills displayed (or not) the last year of wotmanias Chat, how would a RAFO Chat be filled? Unless there's a LOT more people using AIM or something it seems like it'd mostly be Skype regulars (who already have Skype. ) Last time I popped by the IRC channel and Skype neither was exactly Grand Central Station. Even when I pimp it for a week non-stop setting up a conference call is even money, so why invest the time and energy creating something for which there's no demand?

Ultimately, I agree with Tim: If those who occasionally demand Chat miss it so badly, nothing's stopping them from coming up with something of their own and sharing it. Just remember: Lighting fires under wotmaniacs isn't always easy, as more than a few Admins could likely relate; your mileage may vary....
