If I'm hosting, though, anyone repeatedly abusing another will find their welcome immediately rescinded, and you can't just hop back in: You're gone until/unless you're called again. If that means I need to not host, or just be absent, I can accept that, but I won't accept anyone using another as a punching bag when I can put a stop to it. So far it's been brief and rare, and the worst of the two examples I've seen will never happen on my watch; if that means I have to wait for a call, so be it. I hope that doesn't sound too confrontational; so far I've only had to boot one person, who's welcome back whenever but only so long as they can treat people decently whether or not they like them.

It's great fun with a many people though; actual laughter is much more human than "LOL, " especially from a half dozen people. Chat death's less common, too, 'cos multitasking's easier, and you don't have to worry something might scroll by too fast to catch. Typing and reading deep discussion in real time frustrated me no end, but that's not a problem in speech. All the advantages of Chat with a number it lacks, and despite being virtually ignorant when it comes to computers, I had it downloaded, installed and running in five minutes. Really. If you've made it this far in this thread, you CANNOT be too stupid to use Skype.
