Flying into Manchester is probably a good plan. You could then take a cheap bus (used to be about £1) to Edinburgh, or go on the train if you want something a little quicker.

Apart from Edinburgh (which is the best city in the UK), York is a great place to visit and would probably keep you busy for a week.

London would too, of course, but then you're in London. And it's expensive.

If you do decide on Edinburgh let us know and we can meet up!


That sounds great, Rebekah! I might have to seriously take you up on that offer. I didn't even think about York. Thankfully I have quite a while to research where exactly we're going to go/what we're going to do. If you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear them
