there are things to do then can cut down how much time you take off the clock but using them makes it harder to score. The other team changes their defense to take away the deep ball near the side lines and offeres you easy short stuff in the middle that eats up the clock. If scoring was so easy they wouldn't have been in that posistion. The game was pretty much over after the interception anyway since scoring twice in that short of an amount a time against a good defense is next to impossible.
