Sometimes.. yes. @my Send a noteboard - 15/02/2010 03:59:55 AM
My friend Karen's dad just celebrated his 85th birthay. He has oxygen, and tools around town in his scooter thing. He is feeble and crouched and old. It makes me sad to see him, and it makes me fear getting old.

My grandmother is 85. She is on a couple of meds, but not like a whole regiment or anything (I hope I used the right word). She still hosts parties where 40+ people come (maybe once a year) and hosts parties of 10+ people EVERY Friday night. (They are her kids, but 10 people are 10 people). They play cards, visit etc. She just went to see The Full Monty live.. She is healthy, active, completely sound in the mind.

So, I'm so sorry.. but no, it's not always that way.

*HUGS*
