I feel sorry for Mark Hughes. He'll either be out on his ear before Christmas, or not given any credit if City are successful.
Honestly, I don't think he should be there. Not if City want to be a big European team. While spending a lot the squad is still nowhere near the Big Four in quality. None of their signings save Tevez and Robinho are truly world class and they don't have the reputation to get those kinds of players. Having a big name manager would be a way of getting them those kinds of players.
I was about to comment on your old spending habits, but then again Spurs aren't exactly innocent of hyperinflated purchasing, even if it's not to the same crazy levels.
