Didn't sound to me like he was speaking to liberals. - Edit 1

It isn't the tea party people that is the intended audience but smarmy little liberals who keep laughing up their sleeves and keep calling them tea baggers like a bunch of pimply faced teens laughing as they light their farts. Seems a lot of the support for The One is turning out to be a bit fair weather and such articles are intended to rally the troops. All that power and no results have left them a little down and since blame the republicans is all the know they just keep going back to that dry well.

And I'm willing to spread the blame equally, as I was with Clinton; Republicans have fought as hard as you would expect the opposition to do, but Reagan and both Bushes managed to get their priority policies through resistant opposition Congresses, so if Obama and Co. can't get theirs through their own partys Congress any better than Clinton did, it's no one elses fault. They should've booted Lieberman to the Republicans long ago instead of groveling while he continually sandbagged them, and the sad simple fact is that if they can't show more spine with a recalcitrant but supposedly friendly Senator I don't know htf they're supposed to handle Ahmadinejad and Putin.

As I recall, correctly or not, the tea baggers were the first to refer to themselves by that name when they thought it was so cute to send tea bags to Obama et alia in protest. Notice the genesis of their protest has been forgotten as much as they want everyone to forget the name they gave it. Maybe smirkingly telling everyone how much they wanted to "teabag Obama" wasn't as funny as they thought.
