sometimes a depression in the wood will come up if you steam it. An iron at wool/cotton/linen setting will work. Sareitha's wood filler suggestion will work, too. Repainting a floor is not as hard as it sounds. Use a thick, rough surface roller.
Huh. I would never have thought of that. Will give it a shot.
Thanks. As for the animal dander, a Dyson vacuum works really well.
That sounds expensive.
' />I have horrible allergies (Cats, dogs, 4 types of grass, ragweed, pollen, dander, tons of other weeds, roaches, life, oxygen, humans...you know)
I use 2 generic ionic pro systems from Meijer's supermarket; both have permanent filters, so they pay off in the long run. I use a tower one that is silent and more of a passive cleaner, as well as one of the heavy duty purifying systems that can make you deaf if you stand too close. I have to use these because I live with 2 cats (by choice), and no allergy medication on the market, including allergy shots, work on me--- it is so lovely having 2 or 3 major allergic reactions a day
