I remember the first time I realized you could hide people on Facebook. It went something like this:

I happen to have my mouse hovering over the post, debating on whether or not I should finally tell the person how I truly think about them, or if I should just put poison into the punch at the next family get together; when, low and behold: this magic button appears saying, "hide". Well, I immediately click it, and it says, "would you like to hide person X from your news feeds from now on?" My reaction? OF COURSE I DO.

Thus I keep up the facade of actually liking the person, because they're family, how can I hate them? Oh the wonderfulness that is being in a WASP-y, suburban family.
