...just exactly how things go down in Hollywood. I didn't see Feldman, and so I can't really comment on his interview, but...
...it seems clear that, if not now, at least back during the '80's some young stars were used/abused simply as money machines by power brokers in Hollywood. I think both of these Cory's were probably sexually abused by powerful people, and at the very least they were completely taken advantage of. How else do 13-15 year olds get into every party, have every drug, and be seen all over the place?
If what happened to these two at young ages (and likely continues to happen to others) were perpetrated in your "nomal" town by "regular" folk, there would have been arrests and convictions.
And none of this excuses Haim's personal responsibilty, but it's hard to put the blame on him when, from a very young age, he was introduced to such a world, used for money, and then conveniently discarded when he no longer served a purpose. I feel sorry for him tbh. There is a very dark underbelly to Hollywood, and it's never discussed for obvious reasons.

I would slave, to pave the way, to sink your ship of fools.
It is my professional opinion that Corey Feldman is a tool.

My opinion is I always thought Corey Feldman was more likely to OD first.
