The BBC has always had an anti-Berlusconi slant. I bet they'd be upset with anyone who's done good things for Italy and for Italians. Sad, but true.

And really, as someone noted already, I think foreign media do indeed love Berlusconi - he's the gift that keeps on giving, the endless source of funny quotes and stories, with a healthy touch of making people in the home nation feel superior because they at least haven't elected a PM like Berlusconi.
